MOVED – Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us at MOVED (referred to as “MOVED”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy Agreement (“Privacy Policy”) describes the personal information we collect, use, and disclose about individual consumers and visitors who utilize our services. This Privacy Policy shall apply to all MOVED data collection, including collection of personal information, and thus it shall govern any and all data collection and usage thereof through our website (MOVED.app, our “Website”), our applications (our “App”), or other internet-connected services or platforms owned and operated by us (collectively, our “Service” or “Services”). By clicking “I AGREE,” indicating acceptance electronically, or accessing or using our Services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, do not indicate acceptance of this Privacy Policy, and do not use the Services.
This Privacy Policy applies only to users of and visitors to our Services. It does not apply to any third-party site or service, recommendation, or referral linked to our Services.
A “carrier,” as used in this Privacy Policy, means a motor carrier as defined by 49 USC § 13102(14) with authority issued by the federal and applicable state governments to haul freight for hire. “Commercial drivers” refers to individuals commonly associated with carriers who execute commercial freight shipments, including carrier employees, contractors, owner-operators under contract with the motor carrier, employees of such owner-operators, or any other service providers of the motor carrier assigned to execute commercial freight shipments.
The section headings contained in this Privacy Policy are for reference purposes only and shall not affect the meaning or interpretation of the Privacy Policy. In this Privacy Policy, the words “including” and “include” mean “including, but not limited to.”
I. Information We Collect and How We Use It
A. Contact and Registration Information
Registration and use of our Services requires certain information from you such as username, e-mail, name, address, telephone number, certain business information (such as company name and address), and other information we can use to identify and contact you. If the Services provided to you require payment, we will ask for additional information to process payments, together with such additional information as may be required by any applicable services agreement (a “Services Agreement”).
This information allows us to provide and maintain our Services, verify and respond to inquiries, and provide customer support, among other related applications.
B. Internet Activity
We also collect certain information through automated means from all Service visitors. For example, we use “cookies” and other web technologies to collect certain information from all users, including visitors who do not purchase anything through our Services. A cookie is a string of data our system sends to your device(s) and then uses to identify your device(s) when you return to our Services. Cookies give us usage data, such as how often you visit and what information you access while using our Services. This information does not identify you personally, but in some cases, it may link it to personally identifiable information.
This information allows us to improve the experience of our Services for all users and protect us from security incidents, among other related applications.
C. Technical Service Information
Use of our Services requires collection of commercial drivers’ precise location data, which we may procure automatically through our Services or from third parties, such as a carrier. This information may be collected by integration of your GPS/ELD/telematics devices with the Services, including through the usage of APIs. We may also derive your location from your IP address or phone number, together with other information about the device(s) used to access our services, such as battery level, connectivity status, device ID, App settings and characteristics, and App crashes. Other technical information that you, one of our vendors, or other users provides may include information about specific freight shipments that you or an associated commercial driver executes.
This information is core to our Services and we retain all rights to use it, except where prohibited by applicable law.
We also use information collected through our Services to enforce our Service Terms of Use (which can be found on our Website and/or our App) or to comply with an applicable Services Agreement, in order to promote security, protect against fraud and other liabilities, promote compliance with applicable federal, state, and local law, and to prevent harm to persons or property.
II. Security and Retention
We implement commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect your information both online and offline from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no internet, data, or e-mail transmission is ever fully secure or error free. In particular, e-mail sent to or from us may not be secure. Therefore, you should take special care in deciding what information you send us via our Services or e-mail. In addition, we are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy setting or security measures contained in our Services, or third-party websites.
III. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or disclose your personal information, except as provided herein, and our Service Terms of Use. In connection with providing services and products through our Services, we may share your information with:
- Other users of our Services. For example, contact information including name, personnel and vehicle, vehicle license, vehicle make and model, precise or approximate location, and certain other contact information at the request of the shippers and carriers;
- Third-party vendors and/or independent contractors that perform tasks on our behalf and under our instruction. These third-party vendors and independent contractors may use your personal information only in connection with the services they perform at our request, and they are bound to protect your personal information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy; and
- Other people, as directed by you, in connection with our Services.
We may share information about you when we believe disclosure is appropriate to comply with the law, a court order, or a subpoena or to prevent or investigate a possible crime, such as fraud or identity theft; to protect the security of our Services; to enforce or apply our Service Terms of Use; or to protect our own rights or property or the rights, property or safety of our users or others. Additionally, we may also share information about you in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, consolidation or restructuring, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by or into another company;
As noted above, we compile Service usage statistics from data collected through cookies and other automated means. We may publish those statistics or share them with third parties, but any such disclosure will not include personally identifiable information.
IV. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable laws and regulation, you may have the right to:
- Be able to make informed decisions about your personal information;
- Request access to a machine-readable copy of the personal information we maintain about you;
- Correct, update, or supplement inaccuracies in your personal information;
- Request deletion of your personal information;
- Opt-out of the sharing or sale of your personal information;
- Restrict or refuse to allow others to process your personal information;
- Object to and stop the processing of your personal information;
- Limit the use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information; and/or
- Request information about, object to, and stop automated decision making related to your personal information.

Our Services are not intended for use by children under the age of 13, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Please do not use the Services provided by MOVED if you are under the age of 13, and please do not click “I AGREE” if you are under the age of 13.
V. Amendment of this Privacy Policy
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting a new version on this page or on a successor page unless another type of notice is required by applicable law. The new version will become effective on the date it’s posted, which will be listed at the bottom of the page as the new effective date.
